Claire’s inherited desire to paint sees her produce striking visual art inspired by the people, places, and spaces in her everyday life. She achieved a Ph.D in Environmental Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast in 2013, an unusual path for such a creative spirit but one to which she credits many of her ideas. Claire’s more recent work has focused on the straight lines and architecture of her beloved Belfast and Northern Ireland, whilst retaining a fluidity of movement in her brush and knife work that gives each piece its own character and unpredictability.
