Claire Burns

Claire Burns

Claire’s inherited desire to paint sees her produce striking visual art inspired by the people, places, and spaces in her everyday life. She achieved a Ph.D in Environmental Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast in 2013, an unusual path for such a creative spirit but one to which she credits many of her ideas. Emerging relatively recently into the Irish art scene, Claire remains experimental with her work, dabbling in oils and acrylics and experimental brush and knife-work. Claire’s father Paul, a keen photographer, provides many of the reference photos for her work.
