Alison Burns, BA Hons (Graphic Design) has a background in illustration. This has influenced her work where she strives to achieve a dramatic atmosphere inspired by nature and landscapes. Her love of the Irish “bad” weather is what encourages her to paint.
She works mainly in acrylics and watercolour and loves the difference that each medium brings to the way she paints. Alison’s acrylics are mostly Irish landscapes but she has also done portraiture in this medium. Her watercolour work is also mostly landscapes however she ventures into still life work occasionally.
Watch out for her dramatic skies that generally dominate her work.
Alison is married with three grown up children, her married name is Watt. Please take a browse through a selection of Alison’s extensive portfolio, below.
